To specify copyright information in a digital photo’s EXIF data in Photoshop, do the following:
- Go to File -> File Info.
- In the bottom half of the screen that comes up, you can specify copyright status, add a notice and provide a URL. Type in whatever you want your copyright notice to look like here. If you hit the down arrow next to the Copyright Notice box, it will allow you to quickly add text that you have previously used.
- You can add more detailed information, such as Author and Title, to the photo’s file using the options at the top of the screen.
- When done press OK and save the file. Note that using the Save for Web option will strip out EXIF data, so I always save in the typical fashion.
