This week I updated to WordPress 2.2. Here are two things I thought I would share if you are thinking of doing the same:

  1. Widgets are built in to WordPress now. This causes issues if you are using the K2 theme, as is it has sidebar modules included. Luckily the Disable Wordpress Widgets Plugin will fix the K2 issues. More details on the workaround here.
  2. The preview screen that appeared at the bottom of writing/editing pages has been removed and there is now a link to the post preview in the writing pane. It took me a little while to figure this one out. I think it could be displayed a little more prominently.
